MAHLE has developed a new technology kit for e-motors that combines the advantages of its benchmark SCT and MCT e-motors.
Using nature as a model, MAHLE has now achieved a technological leap forward with its new battery cooling plate. The group's engineers have developed a bionic structure-that is, one modeled on nature-for the cooling channels that causes the coolant to flow differently.
“MAHLE will position itself as the system champion in e-mobility,” said Arnd Franz, Chairman of the MAHLE Management Board and CEO, during a Tech Day in the run-up to the IAA Mobility in Munich in September.
The German Automotive supplier MAHLE and the Taiwan-based battery manufacturer ProLogium signed a Memorandum of Understanding for developing and evaluating thermal management solutions for next generation solid-state batteries.
MAHLE and Midtronics, Inc. have agreed to jointly develop service equipment for battery electric vehicles. Both companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding.
In the future, both companies will jointly develop and test complete infrastructure and automotive engineering systems.
Efficient thermal management is what makes efficient e-mobility possible in the first place. Heating and cooling in vehicles is an essential technology field for electrification and MAHLE core business.
The automotive supplier succeeded in cutting carbon emissions (Scope 1 and 2) by 12 percent compared to the previous year, as detailed in its recently published Sustainability Report.
The magnet-free MCT-E motor (MAHLE Contactless Transmitter) was a revolution in electric motor development when MAHLE presented it in 2021. This is because it does not require anyrare earths. Another plus point is the wear-free power transmission. At the same time, the motor achieves 95 percent efficiency in all speed ranges.
