MAHLE renews its agreement with the Eco Rallye Comunitat Valenciana and becomes the title sponsor for the second consecutive year. The leading component development and supplier to the automotive industry thus reinforces its commitment to testing and advances its climate-neutral mobility strategy. "As a MAHLE local branch based in Valencia and global provider of highly efficient electric mobility solutions, we are proud to be partners in this new edition of the Eco Rally," said MAHLE Electronics vice president William Fabre. As in the previous edition, MAHLE is again part of the official name of the championship. In addition, its presence will be reinforced by incorporating its corporate image into all physical supports of the test, as well as on the website. As for participation, MAHLE will line up a team of four couples among which Fabre himself and the professional pilot, Beitske Visser. The Dutch will repeat as the company’s flag throughout the season in different international championship events.

After becoming sponsor of the event in 2018, the company has always been a key partner for the Castellón competition. For the Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Fernando Lobón "from the beginning MAHLE has been a special sponsor, with a consolidated automotive track record, very proactive and with a great commitment to sustainable mobility".

In this vein, Fabre has wanted to point out that "MAHLE and the Eco Rallye Comunitat Valenciana are the perfect combination: it is the first motor racing competition of its kind to obtain the prestigious environmental accreditation from the FIA for its commitment to sustainability. Efficiency and sustainability are the essence of everything we do at MAHLE: in our products, in production, and also in this kind of competition".

Currently, MAHLE, like the MAHLE Eco Rallye Comunitat Valenciana, is following a roadmap that leads to carbon neutrality as part of its strategy. The Valencian MAHLE subsidiary has positioned itself as a key technological center for the company thanks to its work finding innovative solutions for sustainable mobility.

To this end, more than 80% of the MAHLE investments in R&D are focused on future technologies and strategic areas oriented towards climate-neutral mobility.

Currently, MAHLE already generates more than 60 percent of its sales independently of the passenger car combustion engine. In recent years, the group has made significant progress in reducing greenhouse gas emissions from the use of electricity and fossil fuels in its plants, using more electricity from renewable energy sources, and lowering emissions from the supply chain and product use.

In the field of electric micro mobility, MAHLE’s e-bike business continues to grow, with innovative super-lightweight rear hub drive systems and a broad international customer base in all market segments. To date, almost 60 cycle manufacturers from throughout the world have opted for drive components and complete systems from MAHLE Smartbike Systems, based in Palencia.
