MAHLE supports sustainable and traditional motorsport in Slovenia

  • MAHLE served as title sponsor of the 2026 Eco Rally and Rally Nova Gorica in Slovenia
  • The technology group supports the full spectrum of future mobility
  • MAHLE Šempeter pri Gorici is a key e-mobility hub within the global MAHLE network

From energy-efficient driving to competitive racing, MAHLE reinforced its commitment to innovation and sustainable transportation in Slovenia through its support of the Eco Rally and Rally Nova Gorica 2026. While one event highlights efficiency, reliability and the everyday benefits of electrified driving, the other celebrates performance, precision and engineering excellence. Since becoming a sponsor of Rally Nova Gorica in 2018, MAHLE has steadily strengthened this commitment – not only as a title sponsor but also by participating in the Eco Rally with MAHLE crews. Together, they represent the diversity of modern drivetrains and reflect MAHLE Group''s ambition to help shape climate-neutral mobility through advanced electrification technologies developed and manufactured, among others, at its Slovenian site in Šempeter pri Gorici.

For MAHLE, motorsport is more than competition. "The Eco Rally and Rally Nova Gorica bring together innovation, engineering expertise and enthusiasm for automotive technology. We are proud to support both events and to contribute to the strong motorsport tradition and growing e-mobility ecosystem in Slovenia," said Gyoergy Szalay, Managing Director of MAHLE Šempeter, on the occasion of the rescheduled race on October 24.

The two events are a natural fit for the technology portfolio of MAHLE. While advanced thermal management systems enhance efficiency, charging performance and driving range, range extender solutions for passenger cars and commercial vehicles provide greater flexibility for battery-electric vehicles. In addition, the MAHLE Contactless Transmitter (MCT) electric motor offers a highly efficient alternative for electric drive axles. As it operates without permanent magnets, it does not require rare-earth elements, contributing to a more sustainable and resilient supply chain.

The MAHLE site in Šempeter pri Gorici develops and manufactures electric drive systems and mechatronic solutions for automotive and industrial applications and plays a key role in the company''s global electrification activities.
