MAHLE is strengthening its commitment to decarbonization and sustainable mobility as the title sponsor of the MAHLE Eco Rallye Comunitat Valenciana, which kicks off the 2026 Eco Rallye season on February 27. Officially recognized in 2025 as Spain’s first carbonneutral motorsport event, assessed in accordance with international protocols (Scopes 1, 2 and 3), the rallye continues to set a benchmark for environmental responsibility in competitive racing. The rallye has also earned FIA Environmental Accreditation, confirming its alignment with the federation’s most rigorous environmental standards. The rallye’s organizing team took an innovative approach by assessing sections of the route using Orbea Gain eBikes equipped with the advanced X20 system by MAHLE SmartBike Systems, the eBike systems division of MAHLE. This initiative highlights MAHLE’s commitment to promoting sustainable mobility solutions and integrating advanced technologies into the sports environment.

MAHLE, sponsor of the event since 2018, and the MAHLE Eco Rallye Comunitat Valenciana share a common roadmap toward carbon neutrality, fully aligned with the company’s long‑term corporate strategy. The German group, one of the world’s leading technology suppliers and development partners to the automotive industry, has undergone a profound transformation with its strategy MAHLE 2030+ to position itself as a leader in sustainable mobility solutions with a focus on electrification, thermal management and the use of renewable fuels. “Sponsoring the Eco Rallye Comunitat Valenciana is a testament of our obligation to further develop MAHLEs activities in Spain and the Valencia region in particular,” said William Fabre Director Operations Motor & Drive Systems, Electronics, Compressors, Pumps at MAHLE. Valencia is home to one of the 11 MAHLE Tech centers worldwide. Dedicated to research and development in the field of e-mobility, it employs more than 400 people. In Spain, MAHLE is represented by almost 2,000 employees at seven production locations in regions such as Valencia, Cuenca, Valladolid, Catalonia, Palencia and Madrid manufacturing components for electric vehicles, clean, efficient internal combustion engines as well as e-bikes.

Electric vehicles are integral to the future of transportation, offering emission-free solutions and significantly contributing to the reduction of the global carbon footprint. Through active participation in events like the MAHLE Eco Rallye, MAHLE demonstrates its dedication to promoting and developing technologies that facilitate the widespread adoption of e-vehicles, supporting the transition to a more sustainable and environmentally friendly transportation system. “This carbon‑neutral rallye is a clear demonstration of how our climate strategy turns into real progress. It shows that motorsport can significantly reduce its footprint while continuing to drive innovation, technology, and performance forward. More importantly, it reminds us that every action—no matter the scale—moves us closer to a net‑zero future for our industry and our planet,” said William Fabre.

The rallye’s organizing team took an innovative approach to preparing this year’s event by assessing the most important sections of the route using Orbea Gain eBikes equipped with the advanced X20 system by MAHLE SmartBike Systems – awarded with the EUROBIKE Innovators Prize 2022 and the 2023 Design & Innovation Award. Its lightweight 3.2‑kilogram design, combined with a 350‑watt‑hour battery, delivers efficient, low‑impact performance. This initiative not only ensured a detailed and efficient evaluation of the terrain but also underscored the organization’s commitment to sustainability and cutting-edge mobility solutions.
