EU Commissioner Stéphane Séjourné and Stuttgart’s Lord Mayor Dr Frank Nopper visit MAHLE
In the run-up to the Baden-Württemberg Automotive Summit on January 16, 2025, Stéphane Séjourné, Executive Vice President for Prosperity and Industrial Strategy of the European Commission, and Stuttgart’s Mayor Dr. Frank Nopper visited the automotive supplier MAHLE. Markus Kapaun, member of the MAHLE Group Management Board and CFO, explained to the visitors MAHLEs strategic approach of technological diversity for sustainable mobility and presented various innovations of the company. These include the bionic high-performance fan, which makes an electric truck significantly quieter under full load or during fast charging, new components for even more efficient hydrogen engines, and the BatteryPRO product line, that enables holistic battery diagnosis and maintenance in vehicles. Kapaun also presented the MAHLE technology for wireless charging of electric vehicles, which has been certified as an international standard, to the EU Commissioner and the accompanying delegation. Further topics were the supplier-specific challenges of the transformation and the high political need for action to strengthen the competitiveness of the Europe.
